"Hana Kimi" SP confirmed | Tue, March 18, 2008

Finally I've been waiting for this but i'm sure not only me. I missed all the casts.

Last summer's "Hanazakari no Kimitachi e" drama series is returning for a one-episode special. Starring Maki Horikita, Shun Oguri, and Toma Ikuta, the show was very popular, especially among female viewers. It averaged 17.3% ratings, with the final episode reaching 21.0%.

According to Fuji TV, the special will take place half a year after the series' end. With Osaka Gakuen getting ready for an upcoming Valentine's Day event, Sano (Oguri) and Nakatsu (Ikuta) reflect on the final week of their last summer vacation, which falls into the timeline of the original series between episodes 7 and 8. The special also includes a graduation scene and addresses the relationship between Mizuki (Horikita) and Sano.

Filming begins on Wednesday, but no broadcast date has been specified yet.

This is FujiTV's popular series <> SP report. (The broadcasting time has not been set.) As a youthful drama set in a boy's school, Horikita Maki experienced her first time role as a boy and all the male actors were deemed "handsome men," including Oguri Shun and Ikuta Toma, amongst other hot actors.

The story is set half a year after Ashiya Mizuki (Horikita) left Osaka Gakuen due to her identity exposure. The school is hosting a Valentine's Day event. In the interim, Sano (Oguri) and Nakatsu (Ikuta) recollect the last week of vacation that they spent with Mizuki. The story expands on this blank week. It will also explore Mizuki and Sano's love.

Having once again cut her hair, Horikita, who is challenging the role of Mizuki, said, "Although I felt nervous about whether or not I can find Mizuki's spirit again, this feeling evaporated after my hair cut. I will work hard at portraying the lively Mizuki again."

Oguri said, "I will once again act as a high school student, and I will utilize skills that had not been exposed in the series. I will work hard!"

Ikuta confidently exclaimed, "I was certain that I would meet this cast again. After the series ended, I was very happy to find all the actors lively. Because I experienced a lot of excitement in this drama, I can't wait to see everyone again and reaffirm the experience we have all gained from acting together. This show will be a holiday! JAEJOONG

When jaejoong speaks, he never limits himself. In heroine6,he'd mentioned before that he isn't good in talking. This is the main reason why he didn't beocme the leader in tvxq despite being the oldest member. In private, he's a person who can stop non-stop once started and always use a lot of exaggerated descriptions, therefore, he is definitely a humourous person. However, in formal occasions, his sense of humour is not suitable, because as an artiste, every word is crucial. A word can make an artiste succesful and can also destroy an artiste. That is why we never see him speak a lot when they first debut. This is to maintain his mysterious image and also to secure constant schedules during their early days. It does spark a lot of questions from public as why jaejoong isn't the leader because of his age. Until their 3rd album, jaejoong only reveal his trueself. Then only people understand why he is unsuitable to be the leader of tvxq. He biggest attraction in speech is that he speaks straightforwardly, but it's not a relatively good character in the entertainment field.

Jaejoong is from Kyungkido. The distinguish feature of Kyungkido ppl is they speak slowly. This doesn't mean that the speed of speech. It is when he speaks, he loves to use a lot of particles (grammar). Therefore, when he speaks finish, people wouldn't have understand what is the main point he wants to deliver. This may also be one of the reasons he didn't become tvxq leader.

YUNHO

The way yunho speaks is distinctly different from jaejoong. When he speaks, he is well organized and clearly stated whatever msg tvxq wants to deliver to public. He speaks in short sentence and goes right to the point. Besides, ppl loves the way he talks. This can be proofed during formal occasions where he does the speaking. He is able to use official language style which is very different from speaking in private. His art of speaking is the best among 5 of them. Perhaps the reason is he is from a strict family background. Most of the ppl in his family are of lawyers, officers, and political ppl. This explains why he is able to handle speech in formal occasions.

Yunho is from Jeonryeodo. People from this place speaks fast, but their pronounciation is not accurate. One distinct pronounciation is "¤©". When he speaks really fast, his Jeonryeodo accent will come out occasionally. This is his charisma.


YUCHUN

Yuchun also speaks really fast, but because he lives in Seoul, his pronounciation is accurate. He belongs to the humorous category and loves to pop out randomly. He also loves to have a dig at junsu. Because junsu has good temper, he'll bully junsu more!!~XD

Due to his migration to US when he was 10, he uses a lot of loanwords from english when speaking in korean. He also has a habit of using the American style to express himself. In the Koreans view, when he uses a lot of english words in his speech, they find it ridiculous, however there's a lot of Koreans also admire him because he can pronounce english words accurately.


JUNSU

Junsu's voice is the feature that gain ppl's attention. The Korean language originally doesn't have phonetics, but junsu speaks richly with tone=.=" When speaking, he loves to drag the words. Tvxq always make fun of him because of that. Because he always drags his words and also loves to add a lot of particles & attributives (grammar terms), we can only get his main point when the sun sets~.~He also loves sharing cold jokes with the members~XD His cold jokes are of professional level. Even tvxq members gave up on his joking ability.(omg.rofl!) He also has a platitude-'jin-jja'(means 'really' in korean). If you pay attention to his sentence, he can use jin-jja more than 3times in a sentence.

He is from Kyung___do(can't rmbr), so pronounciation is quite accurate.


CHANGMIN

Changmin is the youngest in tvxq, but he speaks maturely. He is considered as one of the members who can speak delicately along with yunho. He's the eldest son and also the eldest grandson in his family, as well as a father working as a teacher. Therefore, his parents are really strict with his education. He knows very well that he's the youngest member, therefore he doesn't speak a lot. However, this is different from the reason why jaejoong doesn't speak. He can speak orderly and with suitable manners. Therefore, since debut regardless of activities in japan or korea, every tvxq song is introduced by changmin. Besides, he knows how to add emphasis to certain words in a sentence appropriately, so it makes audiences able to know the important points of what tvxq wants to convey to public. The reason tvxq calls changmin "little adult" is also because of his speech and thoughts. He also loves to nag other members^^He also has a lot of platitudes-'sa-shil..'(means 'actually' in korean), etc. It is not really easy to notice his platitudes as he has a habit of emphasizing the main point of the sentences. However, if the platitude appears at the front of the sentence, it will be pretty obvious. (junsu's platitudes usually appear in the middle of the sentence)

YUNHO

Our leader here loves to SMS before sleeping, and sometimes SMS halfway and fell asleep. Because of their tight schedule, they always fly everywhere and airplane becomes their beds. Usually, jaeho sits together, yoosu and changmin with manager. Before he sleeps, he'll take of his shoes (actually all 5 also love to take off their shoes before sleeping). Then, he'll take the small pillow, place it at jaejoong's shoulder, and sleeps on jaejoong's shoulders.

JAEJOONG

Jaejoong loves sleeping with his stomach on the bed and NAKED (omg..nose bleeding..). Actually sleeping with your stomach on bed is bad, because it increases the curvature of the spine. Hence adding more pressure to the spine joints and also hurt the tendons at front. When part of the body weight is pressing down on the ribs and intestines, it will affect your breathing. if you sleep facing down, you need to twist your neck too, again not good la. However, sleeping NAKED is good. Without the clothes wrapping around you, you are able to relax and your blood flows smoothly. This helps you to sleep deeply.

As we know that he is from USA, he has a habit of hugging something at his hands and legs as well. He sleeps just like a little kid. He looks cute sleeping like this, but it is not a good habit. It shows that he feel insecure. Another habit which has not changed since he debut is he does not like to wake up early morning. It is really difficult for him to wake up after sleeping. During their early debut, his manager tried to wake him up many times and sometimes he even gets angry Even now, if you see him appearing in shows at early morning, he looks blank and wanders off-.-"This is because he isn't fully awake yet. So, our Micky is Ms. Nightingale!! who only fully awake during the night.ahhaha

I do realise that most of koreans that are from USA have somehow wounded psychologically. They definitely feel insecure and at times you do notice a certain level of inconfidence by looking at their faces. Probably living at a different country with a different culture and a dominant language-English, has made them suffer a lot. Ki Bum from Suju is also one of those that sleeps with hugging something.

He did not have any sleeping habits. (note: did not) But during their Japan schedules, due to the stress, weird sleeping habits starts to appear. Then, he became the worst sleeping habit person among 5. He talks while sleeping, laughs loudly and hits people-.-" The most melancholy thing is you can chit chat with him too! Anything that you ask, he'll answer.

After he wakes up, he couldn't remember whatever he said before.

Although he looks cute doing all these things while sleeping, I somehow feel sad for the effects of stress done to him. Poor thing.

Translator's Notes

Just a general note, I think the 'girl' the narrator is in love with is in love with both 'him' and someone else. That's why there's such a struggle. A sort of 'should I pursue you or just give up / move on with my life?' debate. So yes ^^;;;

I'm not sure what the dawn is really supposed to do here, other than provide pretty imagery. I think the idea is that he's trying to get to 'her.' He's opening himself to the possibility of love with 'her' and at the same time, perhaps trying to make 'his 'way to 'her' despite the fact that 'she's' partially closed off, as she is undecided on who 'she' loves. (This could be totally wrong, but I'm trying to make the English make sense and be consistent with what seems to be a recurring theme ^^;; )

I think here, maybe the girl is in love with two people and one of them is the song's narrator? So here, it's a lament about how the one he likes has 'her' heart in two places. This could also explain the 'wanting to see but being unable to' sentiment expressed a bit later.

Once again, I wonder if he's torn by 'his' feelings for 'her.' Sort of a 'why can't I stop? How far will I go before I give up or you come to me? ' and so one one hand, he has his freedom, his life without 'her' and then on the other hand, the possibility of love.

As usual, this is just my interpretation. I could be completely wrong and this may not be the intended message.... it's just sort of what I get from it? Yes... I shall go away now

Translator's Notes

Okay, so this line is a little complicated. The line is actually, literally, something like "crazy, oddly hurry(ing), your cancel baby don't let me down down." I think the implication is that she's suddenly canceled on some sort of plans they had, I chose to guess it was a date. I get the impression he finds her behavior out of character (or at the very least, he doesn't agree with it), as in the first verse he says 'it shouldn't be this way/like this' and the response is something along the lines of "oh, well, in that case, see you later." So, yes... ^^;;;

So, Japanese likes to use the word knockdown... and in odd ways, it seems. Usually it's used as in "knock down/fall over" but I think this could possibly be a mistake... I think perhaps the meaning they were going for here is "knock out." Like, she's a knock out, she's hot, etc.

The first line here is more literally translated 'maybe the different fragrance you're using today is for someone new?" However, it's more commonly said in English with the word 'perfume.' As for the second line, I wasn't 85% on it. 'utagatte shimau' brings the idea that he's completely lost in his suspicions/doubts, and 'sugu miushinau' literally means "soon I'll lose sight.' I think the implication though is that he'll be completely lost in his suspicions and lose sight of everything else, whether he really wants to or not. This could also go with the last line. I left it pretty much literal, but the idea seems to be he'll be blinded by all his doubts about what she's doing/who she's with etc. and he won't be able to do what he wants, which is protect her.

The verb 'nigeru' is used in this line. 'Nigeru' is usually translated as 'run away' or 'escape' but in this case, since the doer of the action is being compared to a kitten, I felt 'scamper' was a more fitting, image evoking verb. Plus, he calls her 'naughty' and 'good girl' and tells her to 'be still/don't move' and such. Can't you just see a cute little devil of a kitten running away from her pursuer? And he's just like, running around after her, shouting 'you're being naughty... come on, be a good girl.... stay still!' XD Okay, so maybe the imagery isn't meant to be quite so cutesy... but oh well, I just went with it ^^;;;;

Translator's Notes
Here, they don't actually say 'the sun' but I feel it's implied. What else would be shining bright in the morning , other than maybe a new paint job on the car? XDI took a little creative license here. Literally, this line would be: 'Are you ready? Starting is OK, the today I spend with you is a perfect day.' Since 'starting is OK' sounds rather odd, I just went with the assumed message, which is that they have everything ready to start their trip.
Alrighty, so this line was just a bit weird. Here, the only non-English word is 'atsuku,' which is a form of 'atsui' (hot). The problem is, it's an adjective. So, this line would literally be "Happy happy, a warm/hot 'feel so right' " .... which doesn't really make sense o.O Sooo... I decided to just make it a noun and make 'feel' become 'feels'. ^^;;;; If anyone has a better idea, please let me know!
I interpreted pretty loosely here. The English in the line is 'feel me close to you' but it just doesn't flow that well into the Japanese that follows. So, I had a bit of fun with it and made it into prettier, more accessible English XD

This interview really suprise me because of Toma's very strighth answers. Toma never fails to suprised me because i didn't expect him to be this straightfoward . He seems kinder to his friends, then I'd rather be his friend if that is his real attitude.
